- It was constituted under Finance Department, Government of Tripura.
- It started functioning w.e.f. September 2016
- The Governing body of SAU, was constituted vide Notification No. F.3(1)-RD/2015/Part-III/734 dated 23/03/2016 with The Chief Secretary, Tripura as the Chairperson and the Principal Secretary, RD Departmen GoT as its Member Secretary. AG(Audit), Tripura is also one of the member of Governing Body.
